On 17-18 February 2026, ACT Global launched on-the-ground activities in Uzbekistan in partnership with GIZ, with meetings held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Tashkent.
The two-day programme opened with the presentation of the Assessment Report and a stakeholder workshop, followed by in-depth interviews and consultation meetings. Working sessions were conducted in English with consecutive translation.
The initiative strengthens the capacity of the Ministry of Economy and Finance to advance sustainable business practices through the development and implementation of Environmental, Social and Governance - ESG - and Responsible Business Conduct - RBC - frameworks, aligned with international standards and national priorities.
The project will design and initiate a practical #ESGFramework for SMEs, empowering businesses to strengthen competitiveness, improve access to finance, and advance resource and energy efficiency.
