The Modern Skills for Better Jobs Sector Development Program, financed by the Asian Development Bank and implemented through the Skills Agency of Georgia, aimed to strengthen Georgia's skills ecosystem and improve the alignment of vocational education and training with labour market demand.
ACT Global supported Sector Skills Organisations, vocational schools and Skills Hubs in developing institutional capacity to generate, analyse and apply labour market evidence across seven priority sectors. The assignment included strengthening labour market analysis tools and training programmes, developing an electronic database for systematic labour market research, delivering training and Training-of-Trainers programmes on research methodology, data collection, statistical analysis and reporting, and providing hands-on technical support for research planning and implementation.
ACT Global also reviewed and refined tracer studies and employer satisfaction surveys and conducted consultations with VET institutions and stakeholders across nine regions of Georgia. The project contributed to the institutionalisation of labour market analysis, the development of sector skills and occupational profiles, and the improved responsiveness of vocational training programmes to employer needs and graduate employability.
