With the support of GIZ, ACT Global launches the project “Analytical Report on Energy-Efficient Public Procurement”

ACT Global, at the initiative of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), is launching a new research project aimed at analyzing current practices and trends in energy-efficient public procurement (EEPP) in Georgia and developing actionable recommendations for advancing this area.

The research will assess existing practices in applying energy efficiency principles in public procurement, identify key challenges and barriers, and, based on the findings, develop practical recommendations to support sustainable development in the field of energy efficiency.

The study is being conducted within the framework of the ECO.Georgia project, which, with support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), is assisting Georgia in reforming the forestry sector during 2021–2028. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through improved forest management and enhanced energy efficiency to decrease the demand for fuelwood.
